Re: WHU team Vs Newport County?
i can see the logic of not wanting to risk Fabianski at this point in the season.

said before that i'd like to see the back 4 remain the same for the sake of continuity.
otherwise i'd expect Sanchez, Ajieti, Fornals and Yarmolenko to all start.
maybe a midfield 3 of Sanchez, Noble and Fornals.

Okay mate.

You are repeating your opinions now, assigning blame can never full be a fact because we live in a real football world with multifarious factors. I believe that revenge can be factor even for lower league team, you don't. No big deal.

Enjoy the game, either way.

Also said this

"There are a number of changes to the team today! However it is still a senior side and with this team we should win. Although as we saw at Wimbledon last year this isn’t always the case! "

Agree with him, not that it happens often but will acknowledge when it does.

Re: WHU team Vs Newport County?
IOC, I am not worried, I don't let West Ham worry me, I'm stating a fact, the manager has responsibility for our bad results if he weakens the team, weakening the team can only be justified if it's good enough to win, being good enough in theory doesn't count..it's a results game.

Oh and as for revenge City must be shitting themselves about us, and will think they will need to be at their very best when net they play us, due to continually cunting us in the bastard .

Especially as we're not two leagues below them so if they're not at it 100% i top gear we should score 4 against them as Wimbledon did against us..

See that's football, why we watch and listen and read.

Specific lineups cannot guarantee results and changes cannot be the only things culpable.

Re: WHU team Vs Newport County?
The last time we played Newport County, February 1979, we lost 2-1 in an embarrassing FA Cup 3rd round match in which we fielded our full first XI (Second division), they were 4th division at the time.

I remember listening to it on the wireless at an RN shore-base in Portsmouth. It was awful and yet, many on the pitch that night turned out the following season at Wembley for our last FA Cup Final win Vs Arsenal, including Sir Trev.

That's the West Ham way alright

Re: WHU team Vs Newport County?
Sorry my mistake, the team we are playing are league two, even less reason care about what they want, I guess.

Ha. If you don't think revenge from league 1 team might be a factor, why are you so worried about this league 1 team at all.

We won a game away in a cup, put out a comparable line-up, (having just beaten another higher level team, leading almost throughout, in the cup, with an additional kid - Silva - and player trying to find his feet - Nasri - in the line-up) and then lost.

You have been the one focusing on line-ups not performance.

Again Wimbledon stepped up based probably based on the past result and we did not match them in any way.

fraser 1:41 Tue Aug 27
Re: WHU team Vs Newport County?
They wanted revenge (people forget/ignore we beat them earlier in the year apparently) and we did not step up.

So a team bottom of league 1 wanted revenge, wtf has that to do with anything, nothing.

Lots of stuff I want too.

I think you're forgetting we went 1 down in the first game and could have been 2, then they had a player sent off, so we learnt nothing, with 11 men after taking the lead they carried on causing us all sorts of problems

Re: WHU team Vs Newport County?
Wimbledon loss.

They wanted revenge (people forget/ignore we beat them earlier in the year apparently) and we did not step up.

The changes from the victory match were Antonio for Zabaleta, Noble for Rice, Diangana for an injured Yarmalenko, Carroll for Perez.

The fiasco was hardly throwing kids to the lions.

Goes without saying doesn't it, it was Wimbledon!

Iron Duke 1:13 Tue Aug 27
Re: WHU team Vs Newport County?
The Wimbledon fiasco last season had more to do with the attitude of the players, lack of motivation and bad preparation from the manager and coaching staff. The team itself was more than good enough.

I would rather keep it to football at this point.

Did you have any comments on those changes?

you've never upset me" - your knowledge of my posting history and that stretch where you jumped on almost every post I made, portray a different story. If that is the case, you may want to consider not beginning to do those things again.

You paranoid cunt, that stretch?

I reply to loads of posters a lot, as do you (and loads of others on here) if anything more than others as you're on nearly everything arguing with others going round and round, you love the last fucking word, I can't be responsible if your delusional paranoia portrays me that way to you, get over your fucking self.

Again where have I said all eleven.

Snograss, Wilshere, Ajeti are going play via the manager and should.

It is too early for Cardoso, which I also respect.

Rumours are one the other kids might get a run out.

So we are probably closer than not on what we want to see.

However,

"you've never upset me" - your knowledge of my posting history and that stretch where you jumped on almost every post I made, portray a different story. If that is the case, you may want to consider not beginning to do those things again.

"if they don't pay off then its down to him." I can never agree with that kind of black and white statement that ignores so many factors, including the player performance. Agree to disagree I guess.

diehardhammer 12:48 Tue Aug 27
Re: WHU team Vs Newport County?
I do think people are underestimating Newport a bit here, last season in the cup they held off basically man city's first team side for 51 minutes before collapsing to final score of 4-1.

Hopefully Pellegrini will firmly remember the shit show the reserve players did for him against wimbledon last year and keep it to mainly first team players.

I would like to see cardoso, Holland and Ajeti start, worst comes to worst they can be subbed off at half time.
